State Recognition
We received informal recognition by the state of Maryland August 6th 2023 after receiving local recognition and being honored by the county of Laurel and mayor Craig A Moe on July 23,2023. Expressed with an official Mayoral Citation congratulating us on publicly reestablishing the tribe and noting their recognition of the hardwork and dedication our tribe has put into the residents of maryland. At which point the tribe officially petitioned the state for " Official State Recognition ". And currently awaits the state's tribal department to reopen and move forward in that process.
